Youth Ministry Coordinator
Location: St Alban & St Stephen, St Albans
Hours of Work: 20 hours per week (negotiable upon appointment, including evenings and weekends)
Salary: £13 per hour
Closing Date: 10th March 2023
The Parish of St Alban and St Stephen is the larger of two catholic parishes serving the city of St Albans and the immediate area. We are an increasingly diverse community, with a large number of young families, wanting to develop and implement a strategy of accompaniment aimed at our young people transitioning into, through and out of secondary education.
Working alongside an existing catechetical co-ordinator, who has responsibility for sacramental preparation including confirmation, you will have a unique opportunity to shape the pattern of youth ministry here at St Alban & St Stephen Your initial task would be to work with our youth strategy group and young people in developing a strategy for our accompaniment of young people. A key measure of success would be our young people’s sense of a welcoming parish, which is willing to walk with them and which affords them a voice.
