‘Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit’ Matt 28:19
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a team of committed practicing Catholics between the ages of 18 and 25 to help us run retreats at our centre in Pinner.
Why join us?
If you are looking to grow in your faith and meet other young Catholics, joining our volunteer team is a great place to start.
What can we offer you?
- A monthly spiritual and professional formation programme
- Youth ministry work experience
- Mentorship opportunities
- Faith-based retreats and days of recollection
- Catholic networking
- Certificate of Youth Ministry Formation Programme signed by Bishop Nicholas
What is the Commitment?
Volunteers commit to helping twice per month at our retreat centre in Pinner. The precise dates can be flexible with your schedule and are agreed in advance.
The cohort take part in a monthly online formation session that fosters both their spiritual and professional growth. There will also be initial training at the end of August (also via Zoom).
We ask that you commit to praying on a weekly basis for our mission. There will also be opportunities to join together in prayer as a community.
Volunteers commit to supporting SPEC’s mission financially by giving at a rate of between £5 and £15 per month. By offering up just two coffees a month, you are helping us to bring the gospel to young people in the Diocese.
Helping young people pursue the true, the good and the beautiful found in Christ, because each of us is made for greatness.
A diocese full of young people who are faithful Catholics and active in the Church, working towards becoming the saints and role models of the 21st Century.
