On Saturday 12 March, a large group of Youth Workers from across the diocese gathered at Newman House for Westminster Youth Ministry’s inaugural training day.

The training day forms a part of a much larger support programme being developed for this important community and it is wonderful that the work is being actively supported.

The topics covered during the day included Behaviour Management, Games and Recruiting and supporting volunteers.

Much healthy debate took place and it was clear that there is plenty of experience in place in our diocese and encouraging that everyone was prepared to share their knowledge and experience.

The next training day is on Saturday 16 April, again at Newman House, from 12:45 to 4.30pm. Topics to be discussed include Safeguarding, Prayer and Practical necessities for a Youth Group.
