Here’s some detail on the FiA Awards Scheme; a truly exceptional programme for our young people:
FATIH IN ACTION: CYMFED NATIONAL CATHOLIC AWARD SCHEME
A two year collaboration of CYMFED member dioceses and organisations has led to the creation of this resource, published by St Paul’s Books. Created for use by young people from ages 11 to 18, the scheme is flexible enough to be adapted to local need and can be run in their parish or school setting. Materials are provided to guide leaders as they help participants glue together what they learn about faith, their own personal experience and their response to the needs of the world in which they live.
“I would like young people to come to know Christ Jesus who will lead us in truth to the joy of the Gospel. This award scheme will enable so many of our young people to grow in discipleship and experience their faith as a lived reality, ever more moving from mind and heart into deed.” – Fr Terence Patrick Drainey, Bishop of Middlesbrough.
