Why do Catholics pray to Mary?

A common misconception amongst non-Catholics is that Catholics pray to Mary like she is a deity, in the same way that the ancient Greeks prayed to the goddess Athena, or Hindus pray to Shiva. Here, Mairead explains why Catholics pray to Jesus’ mother.

A Day of Chats and Reflection

We’re now halfway through our Lourdes pilgrimage! It’s been a busy few days, but fortunately today was slightly less intense, giving many of us a bit more time to reflect on the pilgrimage so far.

Holy Land Highlights

Since returning to England from the Holy Land, I’ve been able to spend a few days recovering from that non-stop, action-packed adventure. After much sleeping, it’s back to work and reflecting on that incredible pilgrimage to the land of Jesus.

We return to where it all began… Bethlehem! In the land where God became man, we trace the story of both our past and present, in unity with our Palestinian brothers and sisters.
