Today is the feast day of Saint John XXIII, who was the 261st Pope and canonised last year with John Paul II.
Let me start my review by stating something obvious, but will give you a bit of insight into what the Canonisation was like: Standing up for TEN HOURS without sitting down once really hurts!
One day before the historic event and the whole of central Rome is buzzing with pilgrims from all around the world. At our accommodation, more Brazilians and Polish people have arrived, and, as of writing, my stomach is full of amazing food from a Brazilian woman here.
Yesterday in Rome was an action-packed day! So many things to do, so little time to write.
