Game run-through

Explain to those playing that they must come up with three statements; two of which are true, one of which is false. You may like to give them some time to think about these. To give the young people time to think about their statements, you, as the leader, can say your three statements first.

When it is someone’s turn, they must make their three statements and try and persuade the others that all the statements are true. After the group has had sufficient time to question the person making the claims, everyone must vote on which statement they think is false. Group members gain a point for every time they guess correctly which statement is false.

The winners are those who correctly identify the false statement the most.

Variations

Instead of doing two truths and one lie, swap it round and do two lies and one truth.
