The problem with many focusing tasks/games is that once the formula is worked out it can’t be used with the same group again.

The good thing with riddles is that there are so many; so if your group needs calming down before a more relaxed activity (e.g. prayer) popping onto the internet can be a great place to fine a riddle you’ve not yet done with your group.

Depending on the age and ability of your group you may want to use harder or easier riddles.

Here are some good examples of riddles for young people:

  • A man rides into town on Friday, stays for three days, then rides out again on Friday. How is this possible? Answer: His horse is called Friday.
  • What is at the end of a Rainbow? Answer: The letter W.
