The keynote speaker in this session will be Delphine Chui, who will deliver the talk and lead us in some Q&A and discussion time. Find out more about Delphine below.
Our Holy Father Pope Francis has expressed that, “In this time of preparation, I would greatly desire that we devote 2024, the year preceding the Jubilee event, to a great “symphony” of prayer.” The theme of the Jubilee Year is ‘Pilgrims of Hope’ and so, just as we prepare prayerfully for any pilgrimage, so we will prepare prayerfully to become such pilgrims.
What better way, then, to devote the year to prayer, than to dive into the prayer that God himself taught us through the words of Jesus according to St Matthew (Matthew 6:9-13). Making our way, step by step, through the Lord’s prayer, in this session we arrive at the third petition.
Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be thy name
THY KINGDOM COME
This month, in light of these words we will explore the topic of CATHOLIC SOCIAL JUSTICE.
Over the course of the year, we will work through the various parts of the Lord’s Prayer and learn to listen to the riches that God wants to share with us through the different themes unfolded in the prayer’s profound words.
The evening will consist of a talk, discussion time, time for prayer and reflection, an opportunity for socialising, and refreshments.
