Leading the Activity

Can be done in a variety of ways, but generally I lead this as a prayer time. I explain that the bible is one giant love story – your story. But sometimes it’s hard to know where to begin, to know what God is saying to us.

So this is a letter, using different parts of the bible but written as a letter. Explain that each person will receive the letter and we will go into a time of prayer. A time just for you and God. Read the letter slowly. Spend time on each line. Do you think that is true in your life? Do you feel that? Do you believe what is says? Be honest with yourself and with God. Circle or highlight any lines that stand out.

One you are finished, turn the paper over and write a response letter back to God. You can say whatever you like but I ask you to be honest. No one else will read this – it is just for you and God.

Have some spaces where they can go if suitable.
