About the event
In a world driven by social media, internet, ‘likes and dislikes’ and following the newest trend, what ‘profile’ do we put on display for others to see? Dare we show our true self?
RISEyouth Summer School will take place over three days as a residential course, exploring identity, purpose and how we can seek to reflect God’s love in a modern world.
Do you know any young people with a passion for drama and who are seeking to explore their faith in a creative way? Would they like to gain new skills in acting, improvisation, devising and script-writing?
Booking is now open
If you are interested or know anybody who is then please go to our website where you can get in touch and reserve a space. As this is our first Summer School we have strictly limited places, so get in early.
The summer school is taking place within the gorgeous grounds of St Cassian’s retreat centre, Kintbury, Berkshire. The centre is set in beautiful grounds that will enable the Summer School to provide not only spiritual development but also plenty of space for fun and games. It is also easily accessible via rail and the M4 motorway. We will be organising a shuttle from Kintbury and Reading station for those who need it.
We are also looking for any churches, community groups or organisations who may be in the position to sponsor a young person to attend. The total of £250 per young person includes all their accommodation, food and activities for the three days.
RISEyouth is an amazing opportunity for faith formation, as well as developing our young people’s creativity and drama potential. We’re hoping to help build a new generation of creatives within the Church, using each young person’s unique and valuable gifts for God.
